Four Maryland Lottery winners and their guests will travel to Chicago this weekend to participate in a shopping spree like no other. The four winners will have 90 seconds to race around a warehouse and fill their carts with anything they choose. The event – in it’s fourth year – is known as the Warehouse Dash.

Rockville resident Sovannary Lim is one of the four winners who were selected randomly from more than 6.9 million entries in the Maryland Lottery’s Holiday and Dash second-chance promotion. The promotion ran from October 22, 2018 through January 14, 2019. Contestants entered by submitting non-winning scratch-off tickets into their lottery rewards account.

The four winners receive a two-night, three-day trip-for-two to Chicago, including airfare, hotel, welcome reception and dinner, $500 in spending cash and participation in the Warehouse Dash.

During the Dash, each winner has 90 seconds to run through a merchandise-filled warehouse and grab as many items as possible, including name-brand consumer electronics, housewares, outdoor and patio items and much more.  The winner and their guest will work in tandem as a team: one person will push the shopping cart while the other tosses the merchandise into the basket.

The four winners are:

  • Leigh Carter from Joppatown (Harford County)
  • Sovannary Lim from Rockville (Montgomery County)
  • Stacey Lowry from Gwynn Oak (Baltimore County)
  • Jeffrey Williams from Rising Sun (Cecil County)
