Rockville Thief Shows Off His Liking for Designer Jeans
Rockville city police are looking for a thief who ran out of a store with 31 pairs of designer jeans.
According to the police crime summary, a man entered a store in the 1600 block of Rockville Pike, between 3:39 p.m. and 3:44 p.m. May 28. The person walked over to a display and removed the jeans, then ran out of the store without paying, the summary says. He was last seen fleeing in the direction of Halpine Road and East Jefferson Street.
The man is described as 6 feet tall, muscular build, brown eyes, black hair, medium brown skin tone, last seen wearing black pants, tan zip-up jacket with side pockets and a red baseball cap with black letters.
Arrests
On May 19 between 8:50 a.m. and 10:37 a.m., a 61-year-old man was arrested for possession of CDS-heroin and possession with intent to distribute CDS-heroin after an incident that occurred in the unit block of North Washington Street.
On May 22, between 9:40 p.m. and 9:58 p.m., a 36-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident that occurred in the 14900 block of Shady Grove Road.
On May 23, while currently incarcerated, 51-year-old woman was served with an arrest warrant for theft after an incident that occurred April 12 in the 800 block of Pleasant Drive.
On May 26 at 1:47 a.m., a 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of CDS-marijuana and possession with intent to distribute CDS-marijuana; and a 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of a regulated firearm under the age of 21 years old and wearing/carrying/transporting a firearm after an incident that occurred near Norbeck and Avery roads.
On May 26 between 9:50 p.m. and 10 p.m., a 30-year-old man was arrested for trespassing after an incident that occurred in the 200 block of North Washington Street.
Incidents
1800 block of East Jefferson Street, the complainant reported that someone removed jewelry from a home May 9 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please note that this incident was not reported to the police until May 18.
600 block of Azalea Drive, the complainant reported that during an open house, someone removed jewelry, a jewelry box and an iPod from a home on May 14 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Note: This incident was not reported to the police until May 22.
600 block of South Lawn Lane, the complainants reported that unknown subjects gained entry by prying open a door to a business between 10:09 p.m. May 17 and 12:30 a.m. May 18. Once inside the business, the subjects then forced entry into two adjacent businesses through common walls. Several cameras were stolen from one of the businesses. One person was last seen wearing black clothing and gloves. The other was 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, 140-190 pounds, last seen wearing white/light colored painters suit, black mask and gloves.
1800 block of Research Boulevard, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended purse containing identification cards and a credit/debit card from an office on May 22 between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Unit block of Church Street, the complainant reported that someone removed a wallet containing cash, a driver’s license, and credit/debit cards from an office on May 22 between 2 p.m. and 5:18 p.m. The person was last seen wearing dark blue baseball cap, blue jeans and gray shirt.
Unit block of Mannakee Street, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone, and a wallet containing a credit/debit card, driver’s license and cash from an unlocked locker on May 22 between 2:30 p.m. and 3:55 p.m.
Unit block of Monroe Street, the complainant reported that a man removed a tote bag, cigarette rolling machine, a bag of tobacco and a wallet containing a driver’s license, identification cards and spare change from an unlocked vehicle May 24 between 11:15 a.m. and 11:20 p.m. The man was last seen wearing black pants and black sweatshirt.
1200 block of Thornden Road, the complainant reported that someone (possibly a roommate), removed a pair of headphones from an unlocked bedroom between 6 p.m. May 24 and 12 p.m. May 26.
13200 block of Twinbrook Parkway, the complainant reported that someone removed four tires and rims from a vehicle between 11 p.m. May 24 and 6:30 a.m. May 25.
1300 block of Grandin Avenue, someone tried to gain entry by breaking a lock on a front door to a home on May 26 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. No entry was made.
1800 block of Piccard Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a tote bag containing a wallet, cash, credit cards and a driver’s license from a locked vehicle on May 26 between 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
200 block of East Argyle Street, someone gained entry by unknown means into an apartment between 7:30 p.m. and 3:31 p.m. Once inside, the person removed car cleaning fluid and windshield washer fluid.
1600 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that a woman entered the business on May 28 between 1:39 p.m. and 3:08 p.m. The person walked over to a display and removed five Swarovski crystal bracelets. The woman then left the store without paying for the items. She was last seen fleeing in the direction of Halpine Road and East Jefferson Street. The person is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin build, brown eyes, black medium length hair, dark brown skin tone, last seen wearing black shoes, blue jeans and black sweater.
