Rockville Summer Camps

Registration for the city of Rockville’s summer camps starts Tuesday, Jan.
22, for city residents and Friday, Feb. 1, for non-residents. With more than 50 camps to choose from, including new camps added this year, children are sure to find something to suit their tastes. The city expects more than 2,000 campers, from ages 3 to 16, will participate in a wide range of camp offerings.

Campers and parents will find plenty of standard favorites, with activities that include creating crafts, playing sports, dancing or theatre acting, and exploring science and nature. Many camps offer children a chance to swim at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center during the camp day, while some sessions include swim lessons.

You may register through Rock Enroll on the City’s website, by mail or fax, or in-person at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave. Some parents may want to take advantage of the city’s convenient payment plan.

The city is hosting a new event this year for people to learn more about the various offerings of the camps program. The Summer in the City Camp Fair will be on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Thomas Farm Community Center, 700 Fallsgrove Dr. Camp staff will be available to answer parents’ and campers’ questions, provide information on employment opportunities at camps, and register campers on-site.

(Inclement weather date for the camp fair: Saturday, Feb. 9)
