MoCo Employees Credit Union News

Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union (MC EFCU), a Montgomery County, Md.-based full service financial institution, federally chartered as a credit union, has introduced a new iPad application to its growing suite of online banking applications and services.

Industry research and MC EFCU’s own membership surveys indicate the growing importance of mobile and tablet applications, in terms of their impact on customer use of online banking and financial management services. According to the results of a recent MC EFCU member survey, 53% of members reported using a mobile device and/or tablet for their online banking services instead of using a PC to access their financial institution.

“We are continually working to provide our members with high quality, state-of-the-art technologies and applications that assure them of the best possible service and methods of handling their finances, safely and securely,” said Jim Norris, MC EFCU CEO. “We’re pleased to introduce the new iPad app, along with other mobile applications, as they are becoming such an important new tool for our members.”

MC EFCU provides superior, technology-driven, value-oriented, service to its members through partnerships with Inuit Financial Services and through its Member Value Program. MC EFCU partners with Inuit to answer the online and mobile financial management needs of its customers. The Member Value Program provides members with a way to save and earn more with the credit union.

Recently, MC EFCU expanded its charter to be able to serve additional public sector employees from Montgomery County agencies, including employees and retirees from both Montgomery County Public Schools and Montgomery College. MC EFCU also provides an opportunity for membership to individuals who are supporting members of the non-profit ARC of Montgomery County.
