Rockville Seeks Nominations for Good Neighbor Awards

Rockville is looking to recognize a few good neighbors.

The City’s annual Good Neighbor Award recognizes adults or youth who work to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods through good deeds or community service, often without seeking or receiving recognition for their service.

Consider nominating family members, friends or neighbors who have performed a good deed or provided a service to their Rockville community.

Past honorees include community members who beautified their neighborhoods, cleared snow for neighbors, volunteered for community organizations and looked out for their neighbors.

Adult or youth nominees must:
• be a resident of the City of Rockville;
• have made a significant contribution to an individual or their community during the current year; and
• not be employed by the City of Rockville.

The deadline for nominations is Oct. 4. Nomination forms and more information is available, here.

The Good Neighbor Awards will be presented at a Mayor and Council meeting.
