Road Projects Could Tie Up Traffic

Motorists should be on the lookout this weekend for major construction projects in Montgomery County.

A resurfacing project on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway (I-495) between Seminary Road and I-270 could mean single-lane and shoulder closures Sunday beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday.

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission will be replacing a water line on Colesville Road (U.S. 29) between the Capital Beltway and Georgia Avenue (Md. 97). The project could mean single- and double-lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
