Road Closures Planned for Sunday’s Road Race in King Farm

Several streets will be closed in the King Farm neighborhood for the 44th Annual Rockville 10K/5K race on Sunday morning, Nov. 3.

The race is the oldest continuing foot race in  Montgomery County and includes a 1-mile fun run for children.

Streets that will be closed from about 8 to 10:30 a.m. include:

  • Redland Boulevard, west of Grand Champion Drive.
  • Pleasant Drive, west of King Farm Boulevard.
  • Gaither Road.
  • Piccard Drive, between Redland Boulevard and West Gude Drive.
  • West Gude Drive, between Piccard Drive and Route 355 (Frederick Road).

Rockville City Police Department officers and volunteer course marshals will oversee the street closures as runners pass through the course. The King Farm Village Center area will be closed to traffic until about 11 a.m. due to post-race events.
