Riemer Discusses Stormwater Veto with Media
At Monday’s meeting with the media, Montgomery County Council President Hans Riemer said the council was reviewing County Executive Ike Leggett’s veto of a line item in the county capital budget concerning stormwater management.
In May, Leggett said he objected to the council’s opposition to his proposed changes to the stormwater management construction program. The changes, he said, were necessary to meet “important environmental goals and will certainly delay projects.”
