Residents Invited to Attend FY18 County Budget Forum

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is holding the first two FY18 budget forums for the public’s input on Monday Jan. 9 and Wednesday Jan. 11, according to a news release.

“Public forums are the residents’ opportunity to let me know what is important to them as I prepare next year’s operating budget for submission to the County Council on March 15,” said County Executive Leggett in a statement. “Input from residents for the FY18 budget is crucial in helping me determine the County’s budget priorities.”

The forums will begin at 7 p.m. and will run to 8:30 p.m.

The County Executive will announce his Recommended FY 18 Operating Budget on Mar. 15.

The County Council will provide its input and will give final approval of the operating budget at the end of May.

• The January 9 forum will be held at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center located at 4805 Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda.
• The January 11 forum will take place at the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center located at 3300 Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring.
