Regional Minimum Wage (Photos)

Leaders from Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and the District of Columbia  showed their united stand to create a regional minimum wage of $11.50 per hour.

The elected officials, who emphasized their collaboration at an event at the Metropolitan Washington  Council of Governments in Northeast D.C., are backing similar bills in their respective jurisdictions.

Councilmember Valerie Ervin (speaking) is one of the co-sponsors of the Montgomery bill. Also at the event were, left to right: Prince George’s Councilmember Karen Toles, D.C. Council Chair Phil Mendelson, Prince George’s Council Chair Andrea Harrison and Montgomery Councilmember Marc Elrich.
