Recent Study Shows Montgomery County a ‘Desirable Place to Live’
A recent study shows that residents find Montgomery County a “desirable place to live, raise children, work, and enjoy a good quality of life.”
The survey, conducted by National Research Center in Boulder, Colorado, was conducted in two phases.
The first phase involved a survey released in September and October of 2017 that was mailed to a random sample of 5,000 county households. A total of 1,075 surveys were completed, according to a news release.
For the second phase, county officials offered all residents to partake in the online survey which was available from Nov. 1 through Nov. 15 of 2017.
Included in the reports in the comparison between responses collected in 2017 and the prior two surveys conducted in 2007 and 2009.
“Despite the Great Recession and numerous other shutdowns, sequestrations, and extreme weather between 2009 and now, I am proud that the County scores just as high as or even better than in our last survey,” County Executive Ike Leggett released in a statement. “This survey shows us that we are doing lots of things right – and demonstrates those areas we need to keep working on.”
