UPDATED: Raw Video of Vehicle Fire in King Farm
A vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Safeway grocery store in King Farm was captured on cell phone video in Rockville on Wednesday morning and shared with MyMCMedia.
Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer said the heavy fire could be seen from blocks away the scene. It happened in the 400 block of Redland Road.
“It looked pretty spectacular,” Piringer said.
He said firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze.
According to Piringer, the cause of the fire to the Pepco utility trailer appears to have been mechanical or motor related. He said there were no injuries. Damages are estimated at $70.000.
