QO Advances in Playoffs with 21-14 Win Against Clarksburg (PHOTOS)

The Quince Orchard Cougars continue on their march to the state finals tonight with a win against the Clarksburg Coyotes in the 4A West region semifinal football game. Early in the first quarter, Quince Orchard Offensive Tackle Nolan Barkdoll suffered an injury and was removed from the game. After competition resumed, Clarksburg scored first with a touchdown. QO came back to tie the game 7-7 with a touchdown. QO took the lead when they scored another touchdown.

At the half, Quince Orchard was up with a score of 14-7. In the third quarter, Quince Orchard stretched their lead to 21-7. Clarksburg then scored a touchdown, making the score 21-14. Neither team put any points on the board in the fourth quarter. The final score, 21-14, Quince Orchard.

Quince Orchard will compete with Northwest next weekend in the 4A West Region championship game. The game will be held at Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg.
