Pop-Up Work Space Returns to Downtown Silver Spring

Outlined in bright colors on Ellsworth Drive downtown Silver Spring is where residents will find the pop-up work space known as OUTBOX.

Designed by students from the Department of Applied Technology at Montgomery College, this outdoor work space was created for professionals to enjoy the outdoors while working.

“Most people are used to retail centers having amenities like our fountain we have or public art but the downtown Silver Spring community is so vibrant and diverse with so many people working from home or working in a office, that we wanted to give them the options for  getting out of the office,” Laurie Yankowski, regional marketing director for Downtown Silver Spring said.

OUTBOX is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  The space accommodates individuals  and small groups with free WiFi access.  The space, according to Yankowski, will be open until fall.
