Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart to Host Community Dialogue Event on May 19

As a part of her initiative to inform the public on what’s happening in Takoma Park,  Mayor Kate Stewart and Councilmember Tim Male are inviting residents to attend “community coffee” on Friday May 19 from 8:00 a.m to 9:30 a.m. at Los Pollos Restaurant.

Each month, according to Takoma Park Spokesperson Jeremy Dickey,  Stewart along with Takoma Park councilmembers hosts this unique opportunity for residents to voice any issues or concerns.

Participants can expect an update from Mayor Stewart and Councilmember Male on Takoma Park projects and an open dialogue featuring the community will follow.

“One of the thing this council is promoting is a responsive and community government,” Dickey said. “Since everyone can’t go to the council meetings on Wednesday, this is a great alternative to meet and talk with your local government.”

Los Pollos is located at 6842 New Hampshire Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912.
