Political Group Urges Elrich, Council to Rescind ‘Sanctuary Policies’ in Light of Alleged Rape of 11-Year-Old

A Republican group wrote to County leaders today regarding the alleged rape of a young girl in Germantown by two illegal immigrants from El Salvador. The two men are being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
County Executive Marc Elrich released a statement Wednesday, August 14 regarding the alleged rape that the county would notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement when the two alleged rapists are released from custody for any reason. Then on Friday, August 16, the Council released a statement promising to assist the 11-year-old.
Sharon Bauer, the president of the Montgomery County Federation of Republican Women released a letter dated August 19, that she sent to County Executive Marc Elrich, Council President Nancy Navarro and all the councilmembers stating the “sanctuary policies…continue to allow such crimes to happen to the most vulnerable in our county.”
The letter:
As mothers, grandmothers, professional women and stay-at-home moms who live in Montgomery County, we are outraged by the recent alleged rape of an 11-year-old girl by illegal immigrants. The sanctuary policies of the County Executive and the County Council continue to allow such crimes to happen to the most vulnerable in our county. There is simply no excuse for that.
Our sympathies go out to the tender young victim and her family. The recent County Council “statement on justice and healing for young victim” rings hollow when it is their policies which created the environment in which this could occur.
Residents living in Montgomery County’s immigrant communities are the most vulnerable to acts of violence by criminals and gang members living among them. Yet our County elected officials protect evil-doers by forbidding County employees from cooperating with ICE. Shame and guilt for such crimes must be shared by all our county elected officials who have proudly chosen to promote sanctuary policies in our county to advance their careers in the Democrat party.
We implore our County Executive and each County Council member to rescind all sanctuary-related policies and truly make Montgomery County a safer place to live and work.
The County is and was wrong.
The Party of the letter writer should not be the focus of the article, but rather the common sense expressed and lack of common sense taken by the County.

I wonder what these people would think of a sanctuary city for gun laws? No need to fill out a Form 4473 when purchasing a gun. I mean let’s just adjust #3 on the executive order that they just put out: “Enforcing federal gun laws is the sole responsibility of the federal government of the United States and it is not in the interests of Montgomery County to utilize its limited resources to facilitate the enforcement of federal gun law.”
The M.C. County Council is ruining the quality of life in a once proud county. These aliens are trespassers and here in violation of Federal laws. Diversity of our population is ok when the citizen is legal.
