Police to Conduct Sobriety Check Point Tonight in Honor of Officer Leotta
Montgomery County Police will conduct a sobriety check point tonight in partnership with officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department, Rockville Police Department, and Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department in memory of fallen Officer Noah Leotta.
According to a news release, officers will be handing out cards that include a picture of Leotta, a message about how he was killed, and information about Noah’s Law.
Noah’s Law will become effective in Maryland on Oct. 1st.
Police did not release the location of the check point. Maryland State Police will be conducting a separate sobriety check point at a another location in the county.
