Police Seeking Help to Identify Vehicle Theft Suspect

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department  have released surveillance video of a suspect who they believe stole property from two vehicles in the Layhill and Aspen Hill areas.

According to the police department’s Facebook page, surveillance captured the suspect on video breaking into a car parked on the 13000 block of Rippling Brook Drive.   Detectives believe the same person is responsible for stealing items from another car parked on the 2900 block of Bluff Point Lane.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call the 4th District 240.773.5475. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of UP TO $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.

As police work to identify the suspect, they are urging drivers to not leave anything in sight inside of their vehicles and locking car doors.
