Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery in Silver Spring

Montgomery County Police are searching for a man who is a suspect at an armed robbery at the Kemp Mill Shopping Center.

According to a news release, on July 21, police officers responded to an armed robbery at a candy store located at 1351 Lamberton Drive in Silver Spring.

Police said the suspect is described as a man with short black hair, possible mustache, and a chain hanging from his shorts. He asked the cashier for change for a dollar. Once the cashier opened the register, the suspect showed a knife. The cashier fled and called the police.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9” to 6’ tall, weighing between 170 and 200 pounds, police said.
