UPDATE: Aspen Hill Girl Located Safe, Unharmed

Update (Oct. 28): Montgomery County Police released a statement Sunday that said Asucenia Martínez Benítez, 13,  has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County police Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help in locating a missing Aspen Hill juvenile.

Asucenia Martínez Benítez, 13, was last seen leaving her home on Arctic Avenue on Monday at around 7:30 a.m. She was wearing black sneakers, a black hat, a black and white checked jacket, and blue jeans, police say.

Police describe Benítez as “a Hispanic female who is 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds.”

Police and family are concerned for Benítez’s welfare.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Benítez is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hours).
