Police Seek Help Identifying Verizon Store Thief (VIDEO)

Montgomery County police have released surveillance video and are asking for the public for help in identifying the person who stole headphones from a Bethesda Verizon store and assaulted a contractor in the store.

Police say the thief entered the store at 6932 Wisconsin Ave. about noon Feb. 21 and went to a display rack of headphones. The thief stole three boxes of headphones and ran for the door, police said.

As he fled, the thief assaulted a contractor who was performing maintenance on the front door, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the crime is asked to call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240.773.6710. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest.
