Police Seek Help Identifying Verizon Store Robbers

A Verizon Wireless store in Olney was robbed by two men in April, and Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

The robbers entered the store, at 18130 Georgia Ave., about 9 p.m. with their faces concealed as two employees were closing the business for the evening, according to a police statement.

One robber, whom an employee believed was armed, ordered the employees to a corner of the store while the second robber stole cell phones, police said. The suspects fled out the front door and were last seen on foot toward Olney-Laytonsville Road, according to the statement.
