Police Seek Help Identifying Culprits Who Robbed Silver Spring Gas Station

Montgomery County police detectives released a surveillance video Friday from a Dec. 10 armed robbery of a Silver Spring Shell gas station in hopes someone can help identify the two culprits.

The robbery occurred about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the station 100 University Blvd. West.

According to a police statement, two perpetrators with concealed faces, entered the gas station and confronted an adult employee who was working behind the counter.  One man was armed, police said.

The robbers demanded money and after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash from the register they fled toward Sutherland Road, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
