Police Release Photos of Olney Bank Robber

Montgomery County police have released photographs of a man who robbed a bank in Olney on Feb. 2, and are asking the public’s help in identifying him, a police statement says.

The M&T Bank, at 3221 Spartan Road, was robbed at about 10:55 a.m., police said. The robber entered the bank, approached a teller and implied that he had a weapon, police said. In threatening the teller, the robber demanded money, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled, police said.

Police said the robber was last seen on foot in the area of Spartan Road and Buehler Road, a short distance from the bank.

Anyone with information about the man or this bank robbery is asked to call the Montgomery County police at 240-773-5070.  Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information the leads to an arrest or indictment of the robber. Tipsters, who can call 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), may remain anonymous.
