Police Release Composite Sketch of Man Sought for Rape

Montgomery County police are investigating a rape that occurred March 16 to a 27-year-old woman in Gaithersburg. Investigators released a composite sketch of the person sought in hopes the public can identify him.
He is described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black hoodie with white fleece lining in it and dark jeans, police said.
Montgomery County and Gaithersburg police responded at 1:03 a.m. Friday, March 16, at a home in the 100 block of Park Avenue for the report of a sexual assault that had just occurred.
Police said the victim was surprised by an unknown man as she entered her home. The assault occurred inside the home and after the assault, the suspect fled, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the man or who may have information about the rape to call the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5050. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to their line that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
