Police Locate Missing Montgomery Village Woman

Police report that Rita Cummings was located on Feb. 23 safe and unharmed.

Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman missing from Montgomery Village.

According to police, Rita Cummings, age 70, of the 18200 block of Lost Knife Circle was last seen on Feb. 21 at approximately 4 p.m. when she left her job in the 2000 block of Connecticut Avenue in Washington, D.C. Police said was driving her blue 2012 Subaru Legacy bearing Maryland registration 9AT2765. Cummings has not yet returned home.

Cummings is described by police as a white female, 5’0″ tall, and weighing approximately 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and black, medium-length hair. She was last seen wearing black pants, a black and white striped shirt, and a blue and white jacket.

Police and family are concerned for Cummings’ physical and mental well-being.
