Montgomery County police officers are asking for your help to find a missing Gaithersburg woman.
According to police, Angelica Ivania Barahona-Rivas was last known to be at work at the Wok Express located at 9615 Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg at 9 p.m. last night. Police said it is believed she left work around that time, leaving early and before her shift was scheduled to be completed.
Family and friends told police that they have not been able to contact her and they are concerned. On Sunday evening, investigators said they believe there may be some indication that Barahona-Rivas may be in the New Jersey area.
Barahona-Rivas is described by police as 18 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighing 150 pounds. At the time she left work, police said she was wearing a tan shirt, tan skirt, a gray jacket, black boots, and carrying a pink purse.
Montgomery County police said she is the cousin of Damaris Alexandra Reyes, a 15-year-old from Gaithersburg whose body was discovered near Springfield. Fairfax police have charged 10 in the death.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Barahona-Rivas is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department at 301.279.8000.
