Update: Pedestrian Dies from Injuries after Being Struck on Hungerford Drive
Update, Monday: Dingguo Guo, 61, who was hit as he was trying to cross Hungerford Drive at Frederick Avenue, died Friday from his injuries, Montgomery County police said Monday.
Original post: A 61-year-old man was struck by a car in Rockville Thursday morning near Hungerford Drive, according to officers with the Montgomery County Police Department.
The pedestrian, identified as Dingguo Guo, was taken an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Guo lived in the 1900 block of Valley Stream Drive in Rockville.
Rescue crews responded to the intersection of Hungerford Drive and Frederick Avenue for the report of a serious collision involving a pedestrian.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2003 Lexus ES300, driven by Valerie Beaudoin, 56, of the 19900 block of Burchap Place in Montgomery Village, was traveling southbound on Hungerford Drive before colliding with Guo.
Beaudoin was not injured in the collision.
