UPDATED: Police Investigate Montgomery Village Homicide (VIDEO)
UPDATED 2.12.17 Montgomery County police officers have released more information about the homicide that occurred Friday afternoon in Montgomery Village.
Police have identified the murder victim as 20-year-old Wassi Harron Raheem Young of Hyattsville. Police said they do not believe the shooting was random and investigators believe the victim agreed to meet the suspect(s) at the Hawk Run Terrace location.
According to police, detectives have also learned that another man was shot at this scene. That 23-year-old man was located at a local hospital with gunshot wounds, police said.
The investigation continues and detectives ask anyone who may have information to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070. For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s). A man found dead Friday in the 8500 block of Hawk Run Terrace in Montgomery Village marked the third homicide in Montgomery County, police spokesman Capt. Paul Starks said.

Police said they received multiple calls to 9-1-1 for a shooting that occurred in the 8500 block of Hawk Run Terrace around 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Police and paramedics located a male victim in the parking lot of the neighborhood who had been shot. Police said the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
According to a news release, police are interviewing witnesses and cannot confirm the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
