Police Investigate Suspicious Death in Gaithersburg
Montgomery County police officers are investigating a suspicious death after hikers found a body in a wooded area of Gaithersburg on Saturday.
According to a police account, shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 12, 6th District officers responded to the 11500 block of Game Preserve Road for the report of human remains.
In the woods, police said that responding officers located a shallow grave that contained human remains. According to a police account, detectives believe the person who died is a male. An autopsy will be completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
