Police Investigate Serious Pedestrian Collision in Rockville
Montgomery County police officers are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian that occurred last night in Rockville.
It happened around 7:15 p.m. in the area of Rockville Pike and Middle Lane.
According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates that 28-year-old Marchelle Lindsey Edwards was crossing Rockville Pike in a western direction at E. Middle Lane when she was struck by a 2001 Honda Accord driven by Raphael Olegario.
Police said Edwards was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240.773.6620.
