Police Investigate Homicide in Aspen Hill

Police Line Tape 885x380Montgomery County police officers are investigating a homicide that occurred last night in Aspen Hill.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., officers received a report of an assault that occurred in the parking lot of the Sunoco gas station at 14031 Georgia Avenue.

Responding police officers said they located two Hispanic male victims in the parking lot, one of whom was suffering from life-threatening injuries. According to police, both victims were transported to an area hospital where one victim died from his injuries. The second victim, police said, is listed in serious condition.

On his Twitter account, Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer described the injuries as stabbing lacerations.

According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates that, for reasons still under investigation, the suspect(s) assaulted the victims in the parking lot of the gas station and fled from the area after the assault.

Police said the victim’s body will be transported to Baltimore where the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct an autopsy.
