Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber Awards the 9th Annual Small Business of the Year Award

The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber (GGCC) awarded ELaunchers.com as the recipient of the 9th Annual Small Business of the Year Award (SBY) on December 3 as a part of their Annual Celebration Dinner & Awards Ceremony. The award was presented by Kelly Lozano of CFR Engineering, this year’s Small Business of the Year sponsor.

“We are honored to award elaunchers.com with our Small Business of the Year Award. They are a terrific business and have shown the type of growth we love to see,” said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC President /CEO.

The Small Business of the Year Award recognizes small businesses, which are a vital part of our economy and community. The award is presented to the small business that demonstrates success, community involvement, and excellent customer relations.

ELaunchers is a unique industry leading company, unlike any company you’ve encountered or worked with before. They’ve managed to create the perfect fusion of marketing and technology to create automated online and offline marketing campaigns. ELaunchers started as a small startup in 2008 in the County’s incubator and now has office space in Germantown and they continue to grow their company.

In addition to helping small and medium size businesses succeed, ELaunchers has developed and implemented a “Learn to Earn” internship program that has graduated over 35 Montgomery College students.

ELaunchers is also active in supporting the community through sponsorships and/or in-kind services to a variety of organizations.

With over 25 years of experience in multi-channel direct marketing, ELaunchers has transformed their local Montgomery County business into a global enterprise. ELaunchers helps other businesses succeed and continues to improve the lives of all who live and work in Montgomery County and for these reasons; they are this year’s Small Business of the Year.

The consensus is we have high quality events with good energy. In 2012, we had over 2,040 people visit our events. Most our events are free to Members so securing sponsorships for all events. Additionally, I am responsible for planning networking, overseeing the budget and marketing of all events in order to make them successful. Lastly, I coordinate all marketing and communication efforts of the GGCC including weekly email blasts, its quarterly newsletter, all social media platforms, media relations and community outreach.
