Police Investigate Early Morning Robberies in Bethesda and Silver Spring (VIDEO)

Montgomery County police officers are investigating two armed robberies and an attempted armed robbery that occurred on Jan. 26 at CVS pharmacies in Bethesda and a Rite Aid in Silver Spring.

According to police, investigators believe the three robberies were committed by the same suspect.

Police have released surveillance video, see below, of the suspect and they are asking for your help in identifying him.

Police have released the following details about the investigation:

  •  On Jan. 26, at approximately 2:51 a.m., officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 6917 Arlington Road in Bethesda for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Police said the suspect, wearing dark clothing and concealing his face, entered the store, approached an employee and displayed a handgun. The suspect, police said, demanded cash and assaulted the store employee. Police said the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled.
  • At approximately 5:16 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Rite Aid located at 1411 East West Highway in Silver Spring for the report of an attempted armed robbery that had just occurred. Police said the suspect entered the Rite Aid, approached an employee, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The suspect fled from the Rite Aid without obtaining any property or proceeds.
  • At approximately 5:34 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 7809 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda for the report of the armed robbery that had just occurred. Police said the suspect entered the store, approached an employee, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. According to police, the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled.

Anyone with information about this suspect or these robberies is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
