UPDATED: Police Call Death in Sandy Spring Suspicious
UPDATE: The victim is Andrea Mion Hawvermale, 56, from the 1300 block of Excaliber Lane in Sandy Spring, Montgomery County police said Wednesday evening.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore conducted an autopsy to determine Hawvermale’s manner and cause of death. The results of that autopsy are pending, police said.
Original post: A body was found inside car after Montgomery County police were summoned to a Sandy Spring address for a vehicle fire, police said.
The Saturday morning fire occurred about 8:30 a.m. in front of a home in the 1300 block of Excaliber Lane, police said in a statement.
Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating this as a suspicious death, police said. The county fire marshal’s office has also joined in the investigation, police said.
