Police and Fire Respond to Report of Man Shot in Rockville

CRTW Montgomery County Implements Emergency Transport Law or Ambulance Fees YouTubeUPDATED Montgomery County police officers and Rockville city police officers responded to the report of a man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of Montgomery College at 51 Manakee Street.

Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Bill Delaney said paramedics transported the man, described as in his 20s, to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A Montgomery County police spokesperson said the man was apparently shot in the leg but that the incident did not happen on the campus of Montgomery College. According to police, the incident happened elsewhere at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Major Michael England of the Rockville Police Department said the gunshot victim flagged down a motorist in the 900 block of Hungerford Avenue. The motorist then drove the victim to the parking lot of Montgomery College, according to England. According to police, the gunshot victim is not being cooperative with investigators.

No other information has been released to date. The investigation continues.
