Photos: Sunflower Fields Start Blooming in Poolesville

Start crafting those Instagram captions and selecting the perfect filter. It’s that time of year again — sunflowers are starting to bloom in the McKee-Beshers Sunflower Fields​ in Poolesville.

Every spring Maryland Department of Natural Resources plants hundreds of sunflowers seeds to provide food for mourning dove and other wildlife creatures. Here is a look at the sunflower fields on Saturday afternoon:
