Parks Officials Catch “Aggressive Owl” on Camera (VIDEO)
Montgomery Parks officials believe they have identified and located the owl that has been attacking joggers and runners along the Capital Crescent Trail in Bethesda.
MyMCMedia has received exclusive video from Montgomery Parks of what is believed to be the juvenile barred owl. Watch this MyMCMedia Extra video, below, for your first glimpse of the notorious owl.
Parks officials say that the owl in question is most likely protecting its nest and general territory. Signs are posted along the trail between Dorset Avenue and River Road, warning people to stay cautious.
Officials have advised runners to avoid running the trail in the early morning and evening when it is dark.
Meanwhile, the owl has gained a significant following on Twitter. Residents can now tweet @moco_owl.
