Opening Round at the Quicken Loans National (PHOTOS)

A rain delay start and sparse crowds marked the opening hours of the Quicken Loans National today. As the weather improved, the fan base began to arrive and see some action from first day leaders Jhonattan Vegas, Scott Langley, Camilo Villegas and fan favorite Ernie Els. The course at Congressional has endured a few days of heavy rains and the greens appear fast. Just ask Rory Sabbatini who fell victim to a double bogey 7 on the famed 9^th green. Sabbatini found difficulty on that hole and asked for a ruling on relief. After getting relief he still found it difficult to get up and down on the hole – dropping 3 strokes aside this green.
