One Maryland Team Among US Youth Soccer National Champions

The Baltimore Celtic U16  team was among the top US Youth Soccer teams in the nation crowned this weekend at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds.

Ninety-six teams competed in the event that drew under-14 through under-18 boys and girls age groups  to conclude the final stage of the 2014 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series here.

Baltimore’s Under 16 Celtic teams was the only Maryland team to win a title at the event beating a team from Ohio after that game was forced to be decided in penalty kicks, according to the US Youth Soccer website.
