On the Agenda: County Council Committees Meet Thursday
Several Montgomery County Council committees are meeting Thursday. On the agenda, student loans, taxicabs, public campaign financing, a telework regulation, declaration of no further need property, and safe routes to school.
Below is the committee schedule:
- The Montgomery County Council’s Government Operations and Fiscal Policy and Education committees will meet jointly at 9:30 a.m. to review an Office of Legislative Oversight (OLO) Report 2017-18, Student Loan Refinancing Authority.
- Also at 9:30 a.m., the Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy and Environment Committee will discuss increasing the number of wheelchair accessible taxicabs by issuing taxicab licenses to approved applicants. The staff report is posted online.
- The GO Committee meets again at 10:30 a.m. to discuss changes to the public campaign financing system, proposed telework regulation, and a declaration of no further need for 9975 Medical Center Drive, Treatment and Learning Center.
- At 2 p.m., the Education and T & E committees are set to review the county’s Safe Routes to School Program.
