NWS Issues Winter Storm Warning for Montgomery County

UPDATED The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Montgomery County, which remains in effect until 2 p.m. on March 17.

According to the warning, snow will continue overnight through early afternoon on Monday. The heaviest snow is expected after midnight through early Monday morning.

Snow accumulations of three to six inches are expected.

Roads are expected to be snow covered and slippery through the morning rush hour on Monday.

A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency if you must travel.

The NWS advises if you must travel, keep an extra flashlight and water in your car in case of an emergency.
