NWS Issues Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Montgomery County
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm warning from now until 3,15 p.m. for portions of Montgomery County, including Germantown, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Olney, Damascus, Poolesville, Aspen Hill, Potomac, North Bethesda, Montgomery Village, North Potomac, Redland, Great Falls, Boyds, Wheaton-Glenmont, Wheaton, and Clarksburg.
Winds may gust up to 60 mph and may cause trees and large branches to fall. Roads may become blocked by downed trees. Power outages may occur.
