New Parking Rates in Bethesda to Take Effect July 5

Hourly parking in Bethesda will increase beginning on July 5, according to a news release.

The new rates are:

· On-street parking – from $2.00/hour to $2.25/hour
· Lot parking – from $1.25/hour to $1.50/hour
· Garages 40, 49, 57 (high demand facilities) – from $1.00/hour to $1.25/hour
· Garages 11, 31, 35, 36, 42 and 47 – from $0.80/hour to $1.00/hour

The on-street rates become effective immediately on July 5 while rate increases for garages 11, 31, 49 will begin July 10.

The rates for the remainder of the parking facilities will be phased in over the summer.
