More Than 150 Businesses Apply for Late-Night Alcohol Sales Program
Last week the county announced the start of the Late-Night Alcohol Sales Program. So far, more than 150 businesses have applied and received permits.
The program authorizes bars and restaurants – with no prior history of citations or closings due to reopening violations – to apply for the COVID-19 Late-Night Permit, allowing alcohol to be served until midnight.
On Wednesday, both County Executive Marc Elrich and Office of Emergency Management Director Dr. Earl Stoddard gave updates on the progress of the program. They say inspectors have been monitoring activity at local businesses, particularly those that applied for permits.
