National Weather Service Issues Winter Storm Watch for Wednesday

Montgomery County will be under a Winter Storm Watch on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued the alert for parts of Maryland and Virginia, including northwestern areas of Montgomery County. Heavy snow is possible and could accumulate greater than seven inches, NWS said.

County Emergency Management and Homeland Security said residents should plan for travel delays. The winter storm watch begins at 7 a.m. Wednesday and will last through late Wednesday night.
