My First Blog
Here I go with my very first post as a blogger. I figured that if I am going to blog you need to know a little bit about me. I am NOT a stay at home mom. Boy do I wish I was though. Because then I could watch all the talk, reality, news and live court trials at my leisure. No worries, I still do because I tape them, but I have to be quick before my husband deletes them off of the DVR. The last thing I want to hear is, “Who is taping this Housewives of New Jersey junk?.” My answer is usually. “I guess the television just automatically does it for some reason.” That for some reason gets his attention diverted briefly until the next crazy show pops up.
I work full-time as a photojournalist at a local television station. I am what you call a “One-woman band.” I do it all…I will save that for another post. My alarm goes off at 2:19am. Yep…2:19am. You are probably just turning off the television and rolling over. The only cool thing about that is…. I am getting off work while you all are going to lunch. SWEET! I usually don’t go to bed until 10pm. Why? Because a mother’s work is NEVER DONE. Can I get a Amen?! Well, I have three small children who keep me running every single minute when I get home from work. EJ , EZ and Eden. Six, Four and Two. Need I say more? I also have three dogs and two betta fish that I constantly forget to feed and my husband didn’t even know we had until last week. Apparently they can last awhile without food. So that’s why they are now in the kitchen so if my husband happens to walk by and feels sorry for the fish he can feed them. I will not hold my breath. I will die.
I am a transplant from a little small town called Conneaut, Ohio, and have been here about 20 years. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would live near the Nations Capitol. I only saw it on television and now I am there every single day covering the news. I currently live in “The Wood” as my husband calls it, otherwise known as Derwood, MD. Never heard of it before until my husband went and bought a house there and showed it to me. I LOVE IT HERE. We live on a quiet street where our neighbors have horses, goats and cats. I thought they only had four goats but somehow one more mysteriously showed up the other day. We welcome them all as I tend to think we have our own petting zoo. And thank God for our invisible fence because our dogs are in awe of them too, if you know what I mean. I step over frogs, foxes and deer everyday. Well maybe not the foxes and deer but it sounded good and earthy.
I suppose I will close it out for now and save the rest for the next entry. Why? Because I have plenty to write about. My family is out of town right now so the hurry up and actually get something done before they all get home is on and poppin’.! You all know what I mean. Since I first started writing this first blog one of the betta fish have died, we are down to one now…..please pray.
I totally relate to the DVR drama, “why is OC Housewives taping AGAIN???” Well it tapes once a week, for three minutes before it gets shut off….I really need whole house DVR!
Hey Lady, living it. Keep it up! I am a stay at home and wish I had time for tv…someday! School starts back up in a couple weeks. Woo hoo!
My first comment should say LOVING it, not “living”.
Love it sister!!! Well done…
