Montgomery Parks’ 25th Annual Harvest Festival Celebrates Farming in Montgomery County (VIDEO)

Experience farm life from the 1850s to the present at the 25th annual Harvest Festival Saturday, Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Agricultural History Farm Park. The event includes crafts, farming demonstrations, live music and food.  The Park is located at 18400 Muncaster Road in Derwood. Admission is $15 per car for parking.

 

Tentative Schedule of Events:

11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Patuxent Partners music at the Farmhouse Stage
12:30 -1:30 p.m.: Storytelling by the Twinbrook Tellers of the Dogwoods Dogs 4-H club
1 – 2 p.m.: Draft Horse plowing demonstration
1 -2 p.m.: Storytelling by Griots Circle of Maryland at cedar tree next to farm house
2-4 p.m.: King Street Bluegrass music at the Farmhouse Stage
3 p.m.: Montgomery County 4-H Equestrian Drill Team
