9:45 a.m. – 2 p.m. STOP! It’s time to smells the flowers. Spring has sprung and the azaleas are blooming. Join us for a trip to the National Arboretum. You will view the beautiful azalea collection, smell the Herb Garden and meet a 400 year old Bonsai tree slightly taller than your knee. And don not forget to bring a brown bag lunch with you. Cost is $10 per person.

May 9:  Adult Summer Basketball League

We are accepting team registrations for a basketball league from May 9 through June 2. Leagues are offered for men’s starting the second week in June. Team registration fee is $595 if teams register before May 27, and $620 from May 28 through June 2. The fee includes game officials, staff, game balls, scorebooks, schedules, playoffs, and a great socially and competitive oriented program. All games are played locally in the Silver Spring, Bethesda, Rockville and Germantown areas. Team registration forms and information brochures are available at the Recreation administrative offices, or online at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/rec.
