UPDATED: Montgomery County Police Are Investigating Damascus Homicide (PHOTO)

UPDATE Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division have charged Francisco Trujillo, of Ridge Road in Damascus, with the homicide of Mario Perez.

The Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division is investigating a homicide that occurred early Monday morning in Damascus.

According to a news release, the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call on Dec. 21st at approximately 12:38 a.m. about a shooting inside a residence located on the 24600 block of Ridge Road in Damascus. 5th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded and found an adult male in the home suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The 35-year-old male suspect was on scene and taken into custody. The suspect and victim were acquaintances and the victim was shot after an argument between the two men.

Detectives continue to investigate the homicide.
